OUR CONCEPT

SOFIA GEM was founded on the premise that with the arrival of innovative jewellery manufacturing methods through modern technologies, it was possible to create a new brand of gemstone wholesale supplier to service customers in a more competitive approach.

Over the years, we have been quietly growing in the gemstone industry. Our foundation has been built on our experience to offer quality gemstones on prices so low that even larger retailers in Hong Kong could not source their own jewellery at the same prices that we sell to our customers.

OUR AIM

Our aspiration was not solely to offer the largest gemstone collection in the world, but to tailor-make every piece of jewellery to our customer’s unique request. In an expanding world of retail outlets and webites, we aim to offer meticulously crafted gemstone and diamond jewelleries that are great value for money while cultivating a quality of product and service that is second to none.

CONFLICT FREE DIAMONDS – OUR ETHICAL SOURCING POLICY

SOFIA GEM, along with the global diamond industry, has a zero-tolerance policy toward conflict diamonds. Through measures such as the Kimberley Process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, the industry in partnership with the United Nations, governments, and non-governmental organizations, polices diamond exports to prevent the trade of illegal diamonds. At SOFIA GEM, we only purchase diamonds through the largest and most respected suppliers who, like us, proudly adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process. All SOFIA GEM diamonds are warranted to be conflict free.

We will continue to support and promote any process that works to uphold legitimacy in the diamond trade. Diamonds are mined throughout the world, including major mines in Australia, Africa, Russia and Canada. Diamonds are a major source of good in many African nations, employing and providing healthcare to thousands.

SOFIA GEM source gemstones directly from those that cut and polish the stones, inadvertently allowing us to offer you dazzling stones at relatively economical price. Our team is able to access up to 78% of the world’s gemstones, sourcing from different markets across the world.
